Spyderco Native 5 CF Replica Cut Test: Will My Favorite EDC Deliver?

Today I'm putting one of my most-carried knives through the Redneck Cut Tests - the Spyderco Native 5 Carbon Fiber replica that's become my go-to EDC. I'll be honest, I was pretty nervous about this one since it spends more time in my pocket than any other knife right now.

While the test results didn't quite justify why it's my favorite EDC, all those other great qualities - the ergonomics, the feel, the perfect size - still keep it earning more pocket time than anything else in my collection. Watch to see how my most-carried knife handled the cardboard, rope, hose, and wood tests, and why sometimes the numbers don't tell the whole story about what makes a great everyday carry.

While there are a lot of multitools out there that are far better quality than these, I still prefer to pack these into my EDC emergency kits. They are some of the least expensive options you can buy, but there’s still enough quality here to fit the role that they fill in my EDC kits.
