Willumsen Copenhagen Red E Review: Cleaver Blade Wins Me Over

Today I'm reviewing the Willumsen Copenhagen Red E Carbon Fiber knife - another gem from the box of goodies our good friend John Emerson sent to the channel. Thanks John! I didn't think I was a cleaver-style blade guy until I spent a few minutes getting to know this particular knife.

While this is likely a replica version that John found somewhere in the nether regions of the internet, it's actually put together really well. The action and detent are perfectly dialed in, the carbon fiber scales and heavily milled steel liners keep the weight comfortably under my EDC limits, and this cleaver-style blade might just be the perfect companion for solid work duty and everyday carry tasks. We never really know about edge retention on these replicas until we can test them out, but I'll tell you this - this one just became my new favorite (so far at least) from John's entire collection. Sometimes the best knives are the ones that surprise you the most.
